I live steps from a metro station. I love that the city is so accessible to me now, and I fear moving to the true suburbs might depress me (I say true because, technically, we already live in a suburban area, but it's still part of the city's public transit maps). So, which is more important-- having museums, the ballet, Ethiopian food, independent coffee shops, concert venues, and 14th and U Street vintage stores within walking distance of my home, or not spending nearly two hours everyday driving a car?
P.S.-- I took this picture tonight when Aaron and I took a walk around our neighborhood. It is the street view from underneath the metro rail.

Well, can't you move to VA off the orange line and have the best of both worlds?
This is what's going to take us forever to buy a place. I do not want to give up what we have now as far as location goes.
Honestly, I don't think you'll be happy all the way out in Woodbridge.
